“Barangsiapa membangun masjid karena Allah, meski seukuran lubang tempat burung qatha bertelur, maka Allah membangun untuknya rumah di surga” (HR Ahmad dan Ibnu Abi Syaibah).

لَوِاشْتَرَكَ جَمَاعَةٌ فِي بِنَاءِ مَسْجِدٍ بُنِيَ لِكُلٍّ مِنْهُمْ بَيْتٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ كَمَا لَوْ أَعْتَقَ جَمَاعَةٌ عَبْداً فَإِنَّ كلُاًّ يَعْتِقُ مِنَ النَّارِ.
“Jika ada sekelompok orang berserikat dalam membangun masjid, maka kelak masing-masing dari mereka mendapatkan istana di surga sebagaimana sebuah komunitas bekerja sama memerdekakan hamba, maka masing-masing terbebas dari neraka” (Habib Abdurrahman bin Muhammad Ba’alawi al-Masyhur, Bughyah al-Mustarsyidin Hamisy Hasyiyah al-Syathiri ‘ala al-Bughyah, cetakan Dar al-Minhaj, juz 1, hal. 482).
